(Lucky Bast III)
Oh, and I have only one other comment to make...Did we just put [Maeyan] in charge of hearding this group of cats? Dear God...we've just given [Maeyan] power...*shudder* Believe me she's got the same personality type as I do...I KNOW how bad this is...almost as bad as putting me in charge of something..."
- Sparky, about me organizing New Year's get-together, via email
K!!!! We met in German class freshman year, at UE. After surviving the randomly thrown choruses of Wagner (the musician, not the husband - but whoa, what a coincidence) from our professor, we struggled to our feet and attacked each other with our umbrellas, shouting quotes from the movie "SpaceBalls".

We have been friends ever since. We were even roommates for an all-too-brief semester in 1994. That was when she met Sparky - a young Computer Science Major (read: freshman geek) - in the University Computer Labs who simply adored her. One of the earliest things I remember about Sparky was his coming to our dormroom and watching a bit of tv with us... We watched "DieHard 2", and he told us to watch the colour of the bands on the clips. (If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. If not, go away - what use are you? Go rent it!)

I remember that EVERY time I see Bruce Willis. A pretty strange way to start a friendship, you think? Hmmmm.... *thinks*

Actually... That was probably the most normal way I have ever started a friendship.

(Okay was that sentence anywhere close to being grammatically correct?)

Now Sparky and K are married and have two children. Gosh. Yeepers, am I old, or what?

Both K and Sparky graduated from UE, too. They were married in Evansville, but soon, the smell of money pulled them further West. (Okay, okay. The pong of poverty drove them away from Southern Indiana.) K is currently a full-time stay-at-home mom, though the pay ain't that great... Sparky works, guess in what field everyone... yes! with computers! I can't remember the name of the company he works for, but he worked on some coding for Sprint. He's a manager-level, but he still likes to dip himself into the zeroes and ones occassionally.

You know. I don't think I've ever played Scrabble against them. hmmm.... Gonna have to do that soon! I can't believe that of all the games we've played, in all our years together, we've never played Scrabble! That's like, *my* game! Well, besides Rummy, at which Sparky beats the heck outta me... (I was sharked!)

Anyway... Check out their website at wagnerweb and see for yourself how great they are!
